Janelle Haider, MD
Dr. Janelle Haider is a triple-board-certified physician based in West Los Angeles, CA. Within the multispecialty group practice Treo Care, Dr. Haider practices integrative neuropsychiatry virtually throughout California via telehealth and in person in her LA-based office.
After pursuing training in integrative medicine, adult psychiatry, and adult neurology, Dr. Haider has earned board certification in each field.
To her, this emerging field of integrative neuropsychiatry is the ultimate in holistic nervous system care. Fusing the wisdom of integrative medicine with the art of psychiatry and the science of neurology is an all-encompassing pathway to pursue optimal nervous system health.
Prior to her postgraduate medical education, Dr. Haider received a bachelor of individualized studies summa cum laude from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities. Thereafter, she graduated from the NYU School of Medicine in New York City, NY. Before her first residency, she conducted neuroimaging research at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX.
Her adult psychiatry residency at UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute encompassed a wide range of training including in both psychopharmacology as well as psychotherapeutic modalities. While in this residency program, Dr. Haider created the first UCLA integrative psychiatry resident seminar series, rotated at the UCLA Center for East-West Medicine, and taught at the UCLA Mindful Awareness Research Center. Upon completing adult psychiatry residency at UCLA, she began practicing integrative psychiatry in private practice while also working as a consulting psychiatrist for in various programs in a variety of practice settings.
Ultimately, she pursued another residency in adult neurology at Cedars Sinai Medical Center to widen the lens of diagnostic and therapeutic options for her future patients. Since completion of her second residency, she has worked in various neuropsychiatric practice settings including at several large academic institutions including UCLA, Cedars Sinai, and California Rehabilitation Institute. Outside of her practice at Treo Care, Dr. Haider also continues to work as a consultant in a variety of both clinical and non-clinical settings. She is honored to provide clinical services for diverse populations, across the lifespan, in pursuit of a more comprehensive range of neuropsychiatric care options for all.
Dr. Haider continues lifelong learning in order to best serve her patients. She is currently in the midst of ketamine-assisted psychotherapy training with Polaris Insight Center as well as psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy training via the Integrative Psychiatry Institute. Prior to this, she has also completed functional medicine training at the Institute of Functional Medicine and via the Personalized Lifestyle Medicine Institute. She is certified in Acupuncture for Physicians (Harvard) and is trained in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction for Professionals (UMass).
